Interesting, did not know food was so expansive in Canada. In Sweden the VAT is already included on the price tag, for most foodstuffs it's 12%. The Swedish eggs was organic eggs that cost more than non organic eggs.

Swede here - there is also 12% value added tax on all food purchases in Sweden, so equivalent to BC. Difference is that all prices are lists including the VAT in Sweden. So actually even cheaper in Sweden

Interesting demonstration, from someone who has been inwardly shrieking at food prices on the Swedish side for a while now! It could obviously be a lot worse for some basic staple items. One little sidenote, though: Eldorado brand stuff is pretty much the equivalent of No Name here. Basically the equivalent of bargain-tier store branded products in at least the US, but sold by all the grocery chains. The quality is usually pretty decent for the price difference, and we end up buying a good bit of Eldorado at our house. Similar with Garant branded stuff, which is actually produced by the same company but one tier up.

Somebody has likely already said this, but there is no HST (or, as far as I know) PST on groceries. It would Sony to take out food chocolate bars etc, but not basic groceries.

I wish more apps had the function where you can customise workouts by swapping suggested exercises in a busy gym. The sweat app suggests some but doesnt let you pick from a whole list so you often can't track the weights for that week which is annoying! Does anyone know if gainsbybrains app can do this??

Same I was on the basketball team and sometimes when we messed up the coach would make us run until he said stop. What's funny is before that I actually kind of liked running and would do it on my free time. But after that I saw running as a punishment or something I HAD to do and every run I felt pressured to do good. Like one time I messed up my knee running but I felt like I had to run anyway so I did even though I was in a lot of pain, and it gave me a full blown panic attack. I haven't really ran since then but I think I'm going to start again.

I'm currently following Morgan Rose Moroneys App Culture of Motion and I am obsessed. I love her programs and she also has pilates, meditation and recepies on the app. What I love most about it is, that you do the same workouts for 2 weeks so that you can go harder the second week and then a new week split comes around. So the program basically renews every 2 weeks and is based on progressive overload. I also previously did Natacha Ocean's Workout plan and loved it.
